Foundation in the rural telecommunications industry is seeking a Development and Events Planner. Responsibilities include event development and management, strategic donor development and tracking, as well as program assistance for foundation activities, including an annual youth tour and fundraising activities. This diverse position provides a great opportunity for a professional interested in the non‑profit arena, fundraising and event planning.
A successful candidate will have excellent people, time management and organizational skills, as well as a high attention to detail. He/she should also have a working knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft products including Word, Outlook and Excel, as well at least a general understanding of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Any experience with event planning, nonprofit work, fundraising, telecommunications, economic development, or rural communities, is helpful but not required. Candidate must be willing to travel.
The Foundation maintains a pleasant office within a large association and works closely with the association staff. Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
