General Position Description
The Meetings Associate is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the online speaker management software for the National Planning Conference (NPC) and all other APA meetings. The Meetings Associate will serve as the main point of contact for all speakers and program participants.
Duties and responsibilities
Manages the administration of online speaker management tools including Call for Proposals and Reviewers, serves as the primary subject matter expert on the software system, and provides customer support. Manages the Student Volunteer program at the NPC.
Prepares audio visual specifications for educational sessions.
Serves as primary department contact for all meeting registration, Website, and APP testing.
Maintains meeting and event history records, attendance, hotel, and post-conference reports for future programming.
Maintains Speaker Database.
Serves at the main liaison for the APA travel program and agency.
Qualifications (Education and Experience)
College degree preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of meeting planning and speaker management experience required. Experience with Cadmium systems a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills with a customer service orientation required.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and meeting technologies required.
Ability to project a favorable and professional image of APA to members, vendors, staff, and the public required.
