Payment Processing Associate


GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION



The American Planning Association is seeking a fantastic, can-do, flexible, and team-oriented individual to assist with tasks related to the National Planning Conference. This is a temporary, hourly position and is expected to run from mid-December through early-May.



WORK RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review all web and in-house credit card transactions for proper accounting.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation of conference payments.
  • Assist with processing, editing and payment application of registrations.
  • Process refunds due to registration changes, cancellations and transfers.
  • Research and resolve errors.
  • Review name badge and mailing information.
  • Assist customers with online registration issues.
  • Respond to phone calls and email correspondence.
  • Travel to San Francisco to assist with onsite registration optional


REQUIREMENTS



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with iMIS database and non-profit associations a plus.
  • Strong technical abilities.
  • Ability to accurately reconcile payment registration totals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
