The Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing assigned face to face and digital education programs and associated resources designed to provide leadership and business skill development curriculum for event professionals in PCMA’s key member and customer markets. The individual in this position must possess a high comfort level with technology and understanding of how adults learn in the digital world. A strong understanding of the user experience and customer service is required.
This individual is responsible for content curation, research, design, delivery and evaluation of PCMA educational programs, as well as PCMA sessions offered at other organization’s events as assigned. Managing or working in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders to identify the educational direction and session content is essential to this role. It also includes the identification, negotiation, management and preparation of program presenters/facilitators.
In addition to program content development, the Program Manager will be responsible for writing program descriptions, learner outcomes, marketing materials and to foster adult learning techniques and environments in the delivery of PCMA education programs. They will also be responsible for identifying programs and resources for Chapter programs and representatives.
This position requires extensive project management skills, strong financial acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit. They would be further responsible for the identification of new PCMA programs, products and services which meet the evolving needs of senior event professionals. It will be necessary for this individual to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with PCMA staff and outside consultants/contractors, as well as independently.
