The American Trucking Associations (ATA), the nation’s leading trade and lobby association representing the trucking industry, is currently seeking an energetic, organized Registration Coordinator.
The incumbent in this role provides logistical, production and administrative support for the Events Services Department and is responsible for certain aspects of registration for meetings, conventions, special events, optional attendee activities (i.e. golf events, tours), and spouse programs, as related to approximately 10 - 12 ATA events. Additional, non-core duties will include housing coordination and Event Services technology assistance. This position reports to the Director Production & Event Services, and has no budgetary or supervisory responsibilities.
Associate’s Degree; 2 - 5 years of experience working with associations, registration, meetings/events, or hotel reservation/group housing. Must possess a basic knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment including fax and copier, computers and Microsoft Office (mainly Word/Excel). Knowledge of registration software and database management required. Experience with Personify or Evectra association management system is highly desirable. Customer/Client/Member service experience and professional telephone manner is essential.
Strong organizational, time and project management skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under short deadlines is critical; Demonstrated flexible and efficient time management; have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional disposition; Requires the ability to work independently and in a team environment on projects from inception to completion.
