- Sales & Project Manager Contract Position
Description
Koelnmesse Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales & Project Manager to join our team on a full-time, contract basis. This role will be responsible for driving pavilion and group sales for h+h americas and the Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival, while also leading our Content Creator Program. This includes overseeing social media management, creator outreach and development, relationship building, and serving as the lead staff member for the Content Creator Summit.
The ideal candidate has strong marketing experience, with the ability to create compelling marketing and sales copy. Proficiency with tools like HubSpot and Canva is required, as is a background in the craft industry. This position blends revenue generation with creative relationship-building and hands-on event execution.

Requirements
Sales – Pavilion & Group Sales
- Develop and execute sales strategies to secure pavilion exhibitors, group bookings, and collaborative sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry associations, pavilions, guilds, and group leaders.
- Manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and closing.
- Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline, and performance goals.
Content Creator Program Management
- Oversee all aspects of the Content Creator Program, including recruiting, onboarding, and supporting creators.
- Develop and maintain relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors in the craft industry.
- Manage social media channels, ensuring consistent, on-brand content and audience engagement.
- Create and edit marketing copy, graphics, and promotional assets using Canva and other tools.
- Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns that leverage creators to promote events and generate excitement.
Content Creator Summit Leadership
- Serve as the lead project manager for the Content Creator Summit, from program development to onsite execution.
- Coordinate with speakers, partners, and sponsors to ensure a high-quality, engaging experience for attendees.
- Oversee logistics, schedules, and communication for all Summit participants.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event sales, account management, or business development (B2B trade show experience preferred).
- Strong marketing background with proven ability to create compelling copy for sales and promotional purposes.
- Experience in the craft industry strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in HubSpot, Canva, and other marketing/sales tools.
- Experience working with influencers, content creators, or brand ambassadors.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Full-time availability with limited travel required; must be onsite for all event days.
- Chicago-area candidates preferred; hybrid schedule with both in-office and remote work.
Contract Details
- Contract Duration: 10 months, with potential renewal.
- Hours: Full-timeLocation: Chicago, IL preferred – hybrid work arrangement.
- Compensation: Based on experience.
