CPCU Society
Company Overview
The CPCU Society is a professional association in
the property casualty insurance industry. The
Society has 28,000 members with the CPCU
designation, the most prestigious designation in
the property casualty insurance industry with
over 150 chapters across the U.S. and in Bermuda,
Europe, and Japan. The Society's mission is
dedicated to meeting the career development needs
of a diverse membership of professionals who have
earned the CPCU designation so that they may
serve others in a competent and ethical manner.
Company History
The CPCU Society was founded in 1944 by the first
six individuals to complete all parts of the CPCU
curriculum. The Society has grown in just 60
years to 28,000 members in more than 150
chapters. Our goals are: 1) that the CPCU
designation is the most widely recognized,
valued, and highly respected professional
designation/brand in the property and casualty
insurance industry by CPCU employers, key
segments of the financial services industry, and
other important audiences, and 2) that all
Society members have access to a continually
increasing number of programs and services that
position them for success.
