Company Overview
The National Automobile Dealers Association, founded in 1917 and based in Tysons, VA., represents nearly 16,000 new-car and -truck dealerships with about 32,500 domestic and international franchises. Today, over 90 percent of U.S. new-vehicle dealers are NADA members. New-car dealers employ about 1 million people in the United States.
NADA:
• Represents all dealers - domestic and import franchises - on Capitol Hill, with federal agencies, in the media and general public;
• Provides counsel on legal and regulatory matters;
• Represents dealers interests with automobile and truck manufacturers;
• Develops research data on the retail automobile industry;
• Offers extensive training programs to improve dealership business operations, sales, and service practices;
• Operates the National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation that distributes funds donated by dealers and friends of
the industry to emergency/medical and educational organizations and private-sector colleges and universities; and
