Company Overview
The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) is the national trade association of the propane industry. NPGA represents approximately 3,200 companies, including producers, wholesalers, transporters, and retailers of propane gas as well as the manufacturers and distributors of associated propane equipment and appliances. Company History
The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) was originally formed in 1931 as the National Bottled Gas Association. In 1937, the membership voted to change the name to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (LPGA) and it remained the LPGA until the 1964 merger with the National LP-Gas Council. The final name change to the National Propane Gas Association was ratified by the membership in1988. In 2002, NPGA moved its headquarters from Illinois to the current location in Washington, D.C. Today the association remains an active and vibrant organization serving thousands of members with safety programs, legislative activities, and a continued tradition of excellence.
